The Chapel of Contador Salda帽a at Santa Clara de Tordesillas: New Proposals about its Original Appearance and Role in the Fashioning of Identity by an Early Fifteenth-Century Converso

The paper proposes revisions to the chronology of the chapel鈥檚 construction, its layout, the identities of the effigies, and the locus of production of the carved retable, as well as re- interpreting some of its imagery.


Nicola has recently given papers on conversos, material culture and patronage at the International Medieval Congress in Leeds, Renaissance Society of America Conference in Berlin, International Medieval Meeting in Lleida, and Medieval Hispanic Research Seminar Colloquium at Queen Mary鈥檚 University, London.听 Her publications include contributions to catalogue entries on panel paintings at Compton Verney and Sam Fogg, London. Nicola completed her PhD with Prof. Susie Nash in 2015. Nicola is Visiting Lecturer at The 91自拍 Institute and Research Associate at Coll & Cort茅s in London.听 Before studying at The 91自拍, Nicola worked at the National Gallery and at City University.
