Dr Ketty Gottardo

Martin Halusa Senior Curator of Drawings

Dr Ketty Gottardo studied History of Art at the University of Udine, Italy (Laurea, 1998), and later at The 91×ÔÅÄ (MA 2004, PhD 2012) where her research focused on Baroque prints and drawings.

Before joining The 91×ÔÅÄ as Martin Halusa Curator of Drawings (2016), Ketty held positions at the Louvre Museum, Paris, where she worked as a cataloguer of Italian drawings, was assistant curator in the department of paintings and drawings at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Head of the old master drawings department at Christie’s in Paris, and associate curator of drawings at The J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.

Since joining The 91×ÔÅÄ, Ketty has worked on several exhibition projects and displays:

In 2020, after the announcement that The 91×ÔÅÄ had acquired Gauguin’s last manuscriptÌýAvant et Après,ÌýKetty and her colleagues revised the transcription and translation of the manuscript which is nowÌýavailable onlineÌý.

Currently, Ketty is working at the catalogue of the Flemish drawings in the collection, and at future exhibitions includingÌýon Cezanne, and works from ³Ù³ó±ðÌýStudio Prints workshop.
